Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Big Rocks Technology LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and discloses your personal information when you use Big Rocks (the "Service").
1. Information We Collect
We may collect the following types of information:
- Information you provide: When you register for an account, join our waitlist, or contact us, we may collect your name and email address.
- Automatically collected information: We may automatically collect certain technical information when you use the Service, such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, and usage data (e.g., pages visited, time spent on the Service).
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service (especially during our Beta testing phase).
- To communicate with you, including sending updates, technical notices, and support messages.
- To monitor and analyze usage trends and ensure the security of the Service.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal data. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:
- With service providers: We may share data with third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf (e.g., our hosting provider, Fly.io, and our analytics provider, PostHog).
- Legal requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to a valid legal request.
4. Google Workspace APIs and Calendar Integration
Our Service allows you to connect your Google Calendar so you can view your Google Calendar events alongside your tasks in Big Rocks. To provide this functionality, Big Rocks accesses and uses certain Google user data. We are committed to complying with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
- Data Accessed: Big Rocks requests read-only access to your Google Calendar events and your Google account email address. We do not request, and cannot obtain, permission to create, edit, or delete anything on your Google Calendar.
- Data Use: We use this Google user data solely to display your Google Calendar events alongside your tasks in Big Rocks, so you can see everything on your schedule in one place.
- Data Storage and Security: We store your Google OAuth credentials (the access and refresh tokens needed to maintain the connection) for as long as your Google Calendar connection remains active. We do not store your calendar events themselves - each time you view your calendar in Big Rocks, we fetch your events directly from Google. You can disconnect your Google Calendar at any time from your account settings, which deletes your stored credentials and revokes Big Rocks' access to your Google account.
- Data Sharing: We do not transfer or disclose your Google user data to any third party for any purpose. We do not sell your Google user data.
- Limited Use Disclosure: Big Rocks' use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
5. Texas Privacy Rights (TDPSA)
If you are a resident of Texas, under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA), you have the right to:
- Confirm whether we are processing your personal data and access that data.
- Correct inaccuracies in your personal data.
- Delete personal data provided by or obtained about you.
- Obtain a portable copy of your data.
- Opt-out of the processing of personal data for targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, or profiling. (Note: We currently do not sell data or use it for targeted advertising/profiling).
To exercise these rights, please contact us at bigrockstechnology@gmail.com. We will respond within 45 days.
6. Data Security
We implement reasonable security measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. Because the Service is in Beta testing, you acknowledge that your data may be subject to unexpected loss or corruption.
